The skiing in particular is superb and is widely regarded as the best in the States with the seven back bowls providing unbeatable powder skiing whilst there is a feast of immaculately groomed gladed runs. Nearby Beaver Creek plus Breckenridge and Keystone offer even more on the same pass.

Atmospheric small bars and rustic restaurants line the narrow pedestrian only streets and later in the evening the village has a real buzz.
