Nestling beside the beautiful 'Fee’ glacier and known as the 'Pearl of the Alps’, this quaint village of narrow streets and chalet style buildings has managed to ban all cars (except for the electric taxis). With guaranteed snow, 125 kms of marked pistes and with over a mile of vertical descent, Saas Fee has a lot to offer.

German is the local language spoken in Saas Fee.

The Apres Ski kicks off in the mid-afternoon, usually at Nestli's Ski Bar, The Black Bull or Zur Muhle. The Alpenpub and Popcorn is loud and wild; for a more sophisicated scene try The Art Club, with live music. The Metro Bar is a classic and well worth a visit.

An excellent selection of high quality restaurants but expect to pay for the privalage! Good value places include the Zur Muhle, Bodmen, Boccalino and Alp-Hitta. Generally book to reserve a place!

Saas Fee is one of the few ski resorts blessed with a Michelin star restaurant - The Fletschhorn. This is a 30-minute walk from town or a 10-minute taxi ride. Its nouvelle cuisine is considered some of the best in Switzerland.

Non-skiing activities include winter walking, tobogganing and paragliding, and in resort is a leisure centre with a pool, sauna, tennis and gym. The town also has a cinema, a concert hall and a badminton court.

The Bears Club Nursery (Baren-Klub) takes children 4 years and upwards for either half or full days. Junior Ski school starts for 5 year olds.
