Obergurgl is proud of being a ski resort where ski-in/ski-out is a special feature.
Twenty-three uphill facilities, 111 km of ski runs and a nine km long high elevation cross country skiing track guarantee outstanding skiing pleasures from mid-November onwards.
The general driving ban at night and two limited traffic zones guarantee real relaxation.

On the slopes the Nederhutte is a key end-of-afternoon party venue, but as the lifts close and the crowds come off the slopes, the village of Obergurgl bursts into life, with the umbrella bar of the Edelweiss & Gurgl being the liveliest rendezvous spot of all.
Then everything calms down by 8.00pm or so as most people retire to their hotels for dinner.
Later on at night, the most lively venue is Krumpn’s Stadl, which has live music every other night.

Since most visitors to Obergurgl are on half-board packages with hotels, not surprisingly the resort does not have much in the way of independent restaurants. The two outstanding ones are the Pic Nic and Krumpn’s Stadl, which is a huge rustic Tirolean barn.
The Pizzeria Belmonte in Haus Gurgl is the place to go for pizzas. The candlelit Edelweiss & Gurgl is the place to go for an elegant dinner with fine wines. Up the mountain the Nederhutte does good fondue party evenings, usually on Thursday.
